The Lightning Flash Magazine
The Victorian Association publish a magazine "The Lightning Flash". The first two
pages of the magazine are shown below which also include full details of the
committee members and regional Victorian contacts.
The Craftsman Memorial
The last issue of the Craftsman Magazine's cover showed the clay master for a bronze
statue being created to commemorate the craftsman. The statue will be the centerpiece
for the Craftsman Memorial which will be located adjacent to the Army Museum at
Bandiana. The memorial will be completed by Oct 98 and a section will be added to the
"About the Corps" page on this site with photographs and details. Donations can be made
towards the cost of the memorial to the RAEME Corps Fund through the SO2 Corps (refer
below).
The memorial is located at the park opposite the Army museum at South Bandiana.
Opening activities will be on the weekend 24
th Oct with the consecration at 1600 on Sat
24th Oct followed by an all ranks buffet. Further details of any other activities will be
included here when finalised.
Officers Dinner
As part of the activities during the Craftsman Memorial opening weekend there will be an
Officers Mess dinner at Bandiana on Frid 23
rd Oct. The cost will be $35 a head and the
dress will be Mess Dress White Jacket. Returns should be notified to the SO2 Corps,
MAJ Doug Gammon at the contact shown below by 12
th Oct.
The SO2 Corps Contact
The SO2 Corps is MAJ Doug Gammon who is located at ALTC at Bandiana. Doug is an
Army Reserve member who is involved in many Corps aspects including the Craftsman
Magazine articles and distribution, Corps events, etc. Doug's contact is ALTC, Mil PO,

The Web Site
Any feedback regarding this web site (e.g. message inclusions, member list changes,
related association contact updates, etc) is welcomed. The notification of social events,
assisting with the update of the member list and including general Corps information are
seen as the main benefits of the site. The site will be regularly updated as changes occur
and will be notified in the header of correspondence to members and other associations.
The Association now has its own Corps items for sale..
RAEME Association Corps items are :-
1. Bomber Style Jackets:-
They are Royal Blue, with a 10cm. high Raeme Badge with ASSOCIATION scrolled below,
this is embroidered on the jacket at the left breast pocket position. They have the Corps
colours on the collar, cuffs, and band. They come with studs or zippers, and sizes from S.
to XL Cost:- $45.00 each,

2. Base Ball Style Cap:-
These are Royal blue and embroidered above the peak and at the front a 5cm. high Raeme
badge with RAEME ASSOCIATION scrolled in a half circle above it. One size fits all.
Cost:- $15.00 each,

3. Association Lapel Badge:-
A Raeme badge with ASSOCIATION in a scroll at its base. It is 2cm. high with 2 pins and
clutches on the back. (the badge is the same as the old Corps shop stick pin.)
Cost:- $10.00 each.
4. Ladies Dress Brooch:-
This was designed to replace the old Marquisette brooch. (it’s a winner.). The brooch is
the same size and design at the Raeme hat badge, it is all silver, the scroll has 8 gem
stones in it, the lightning flash is studded with approx. 15 gem stones, it has a safety
chain with a clasp studded with 7 gems.

5. Ladies Raeme Pendant:-
This was designed for our ladies and one of our best selling items. The pendant comprises
of full motif Raeme badge, (same motif as on the cuff links). The pendant in suspended on
a 45cm. long gold plated snake chain with clasp. (longer chain can be obtained).
